The Albanese Government is pleased to announce three appointments to the NBN Co Limited (NBN Co) Board, including:

Ms Ellie Sweeney as Executive Director, for three years from 3 December 2024

Seriously harmful mis and disinformation poses a threat to safety, the integrity of elections, democracy and national security, and 80% of Australians want action.

How will the Labor Government’s legislation for social media age limits support families and promote healthy outcomes for young Australians?

Keeping Australians safe online is a top priority for the Albanese Government.

Today the Government has introduced world-leading legislation to enforce a minimum age of 16 years for social media.
