Roads and rail crossings across Queensland will receive important safety upgrades thanks to almost $29 million in new Albanese Government funding.

Upgrades are starting this week at the Frankford Road and Chapel Road junction in Harford, to improve safety and reduce the risk of crashes.

The Albanese Government continues to partner with Toowoomba Regional Council to get high priority local infrastructure off the ground, with construction of the Melrose Road bridge now complete and open to traffic.

The Ipswich CBD will soon begin its transformation thanks to a $3.8 million investment from the Albanese Government to fund detailed upgrade designs.

Safer trips across the North Maroochy River at Eumundi will soon become a reality with construction set to begin on a new pedestrian bridge which will link with the existing footpaths in the area. 

A new design rule to improve seatbelt wearing rates in buses and coaches has been introduced by the Albanese Government to help save lives on our roads following consultation with the states, territories and industry.

A new and improved sewerage treatment plant has today opened in Port Hinchinbrook, near Cardwell in Queensland’s north.
