Cairns and Mackay Airports will benefit from up to $155 million worth of expansions and upgrades thanks to a loan approved by the Australian Government’s Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF). 

Twelve projects will share in nearly $13.5 million of federal funding to develop and deploy emerging aircraft technologies that will support Australian industries in the aviation sector. 

Construction of the $108.7 million Hervey Bay City Centre community hub is full steam ahead, with a new crane installed this week.

Improvements made at Willowbank Raceway worth $11 million will be officially unveiled today, with the Australian Government fully funding the project.
