Innovate with NBN Grants Program ready to support regional and remote businesses
Applications are now open for the latest round of the Innovate with NBN Grants Program, which supports individuals, businesses and organisations across regional and remote Australia to take their technology-led ideas to the next level.
Delivered by NBN Co, in partnership with the Regional Australia Institute, grants will support innovators and entrepreneurs to deliver game-changing projects that will enhance the digital capabilities of communities and businesses, powered by access to the National Broadband Network (NBN).
Successful grant recipients will receive up to $15,000 to support their innovative projects, with the overall champion to receive $20,000. The total prize pool for this round is $125,000.
Grant categories include Women in Regional Business, Health, Arts, Education, Agriculture, Tourism, Indigenous Business, along with an overall Champion award – with winners to demonstrate the outstanding digital creativity and vision.
The Australian Government is committed to improving the digital capability of individuals and businesses in regional and remote Australia. The Better Connectivity Plan includes $400 million dedicated to boosting mobile coverage, $200 million for place-based connectivity solutions under the Regional Connectivity Program, $30 million for on-farm connectivity and a national audit of mobile coverage to better identify and target blackspots.
