Applications are now open for positions on the Board of the National Capital Authority (NCA).

The NCA plays a vital role in shaping the planning and development of Canberra as the nation’s capital, ensuring it continues to reflect Australia's national significance.

These positions offer a unique opportunity for individuals with demonstrated leadership, governance experience, and a strong commitment to public service to contribute to the capital’s future.

Applications for this merit-based process opened today Thursday, 20 November and will close at 11.59pm AEDT, Sunday 7 December 2025.

The Government encourages individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences, particularly those with expertise in urban planning, architecture, heritage, public administration, or community engagement to put themselves forward for these roles.

This will ensure continuity, proficiency and depth of experience on this important board.
