The revitalised Pye Hill Reserve in Cecil Hills has been officially reopened to coincide with the second instalment of Liverpool City Council’s Block Party event series.

The more than $3.6 million park upgrade project was supported by $1.11 million from the Albanese Government under the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program, $1.7 million from the Minns Government and more than $777,000 from Liverpool City Council.

This project has transformed the Pye Hill Reserve park into a more welcoming recreational space through landscaping and beautification works, new pathway networks and park furniture, and an inclusive children’s playground.

The community celebration featured a plaque unveiling, live entertainment, food trucks and activities for all ages.

Council’s Block Party program is highlighting ongoing investment from all levels of government in local parks and reserves, encouraging residents to explore local open spaces, connect with their neighbours and enjoy quality community facilities.

Pye Hill Reserve also now includes new and upgraded regional trail connections that enhance the visitor experience, improve accessibility and encourage greater awareness and use of Sydney’s wider trail network.
