Investing in our cities and suburbs
Today the Forecast Funding Opportunities for the Thriving Suburbs and urban Precincts and Partnerships Programs (uPPP) have been released.
These forecast opportunities have been provided for planning purposes and to help stakeholders start to prepare, ahead of the programs opening to accept applications.
The Australian Government is dedicated to delivering investment in our cities and suburbs.
The Thriving Suburbs Program will fund local infrastructure across our cities and suburbs, so more people have access to important community infrastructure such as sporting and cultural facilities.
The uPPP will fund planning and investment in our cities and suburbs, based on the principles of unifying urban places, growing economies and serving communities.
This program will support the delivery of best-practice investment in urban infrastructure, connecting people and communities to services and opportunities that improve liveability, equity and productivity.
More information on these programs is available at www.infrastructure.gov.au/territories-regions-cities/cities.
Quotes attributable to Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government Minister Catherine King:
