New Director appointed to Bundanon Trust Board
The Albanese Labor Government has today announced the appointment of Ms Jasmin Shahin as a Director of the Bundanon Trust Board for a three-year term.
Bundanon Trust is an Australian cultural institution and living arts centre that supports the arts through its residency, education, exhibition and performance programs.
The Bundanon collection and properties were gifted in trust to the Commonwealth in 1993 by renowned Australian artist Arthur Boyd and his wife Yvonne.
Minister for the Arts, Tony Burke, said the appointment will ensure Bundanon continues to deliver its vision for Australians.
“Bundanon represents a generous gift to the Australian people, and it’s important we protect that.
“Anyone who’s been there knows just how special it is – particularly the connection to culture, the land and Australia’s art history.
“I know Jasmin will strengthen that connection in this role.”
Ms Jasmin Shahin brings legal, business and board experience to this appointment. She is currently a Board Member of the Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation, which aims to showcase and make the best of the arts accessible to every South Australian, regardless of circumstance. She is also Interim General Counsel at Peregrine Corporation, managing a team of junior and senior lawyers and providing training and mentoring in property, corporate and commercial law.
