Federal funding for Lindum crossing study
The Morrison Government is today delivering $400,000 towards planning for the removal of the level crossing at Lindum Station in Wynnum.
Lindum Crossing is well known to local residents as a safety hazard and a traffic bottleneck.
Minister for Cities, Urban Infrastructure and Population Alan Tudge said the level crossing was a well known problem for the local area.
“Ross Vasta has been advocating on behalf of residents for a long time to get this level crossing fixed,” Mr Tudge said.
“Our funding will allow the necessary feasibility work to be done to investigate the solution to this crossing.”
Member for Bonner, Ross Vasta said he had been fighting to fix Lindum for almost two years.
“The recent tragedy has only strengthened my resolve to make sure the right solution is found,” he said.
“The Bayside community overwhelmingly need Lindum Crossing fixed and I am pleased to be delivering this funding.”
