Trubuilt aims to expand with new equipment

Joint release with:

Senator Jim Molan AO DSC

Senator for New South Wales

A Pambula business will be able to expand and create more local jobs thanks to new equipment funded by the Australian Government.

Senator for New South Wales Jim Molan said the investment, which included upgrading Trubuilt Kitchens and Commercial Joinery's 3D design and production software and buying an edge-bander, panel saw, sander and forklift, would see the company expand into the high-end metro markets in Sydney and the ACT.

“The Australian Government funding will see this great local company undertake a targeted marketing campaign to promote the Trubuilt brand in the local and surrounding region,” Senator Molan said.

“Trubuilt is the largest manufacturer of joinery products in the Bega Valley region and I look forward to the company becoming more successful in the marketplace thanks to the Government's support.”

Deputy Prime Minister, Nationals' Leader and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development Michael McCormack said the project would remove identified production bottlenecks and enable process efficiencies, resulting in a minimum 50 per cent increase in manufacturing capacity.

“This is a great initiative by the Australian Government in collaboration with Trubuilt to drive economic growth and create jobs in regional Australia,” Mr McCormack said.

“Two jobs were supported during the project phase and seven ongoing jobs will be supported. With four of the seven new positions targeted at apprentices and trainees, this is a great outcome for local regional businesses.”

The Manufacturing Capacity Expansion of Trubuilt project was jointly funded with the Australian Government investing $125,000 and J W Pointon and Son Pty Ltd $126,670.
