St George's Anglican Church Restoration
The Liberal and Nationals’ Government has today committed $1.6 million to restore the St George’s Anglican Church in Battery Point.
The 180-year-old sandstone structure is a Tasmanian icon and is in need of major repairs.
The local community has made it well-known how important this Hobart project is for the region and the Liberal and Nationals’ are investing in this vital piece of community infrastructure to ensure it is used by generations for many years to come.
Investments such as this build stronger rural communities and make the regions an even better place to live, work and raise a family.
This project will create jobs, boost the local economy and help the community to thrive, prosper and grow.
