Eric Hutchinson reappointed as Norfolk Island Administrator
23 February 2019
I am pleased to announce that the Governor General has agreed to re-appoint Eric Hutchinson as Norfolk Island Administrator for an additional term of two years.
Since his appointment in 2017 Eric has been getting on with the job, developing a strong track record of working with the community.
He has an intuitive appreciation of the opportunities and challenges facing the Island and his reappointment to this role provides certainty and continuity through an important period of development and change.
I look forward to continuing to work with Eric towards our joint goals: maintaining the Island’s strong sense of identity, protecting its valuable heritage assets, while strengthening governance and supporting a range of growth opportunities for the Norfolk Island economy.
