Assistant Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Jamie Briggs said the funding delivers on two election commitments and shows that Teresa Gambaro is delivering better community infrastructure for Brisbane. Â
“The development of both sites will create jobs during construction and have economic flow-on effects which will boost the local economy,” Mr Briggs said.
Federal Member for Brisbane Teresa Gambaro said she was delighted to be able to deliver on her election commitments to fund further investment in the local community.
“Both GPS and BINSC have a tremendous, positive legacy of community engagement and what better way of continuing this legacy than through sport.
I am also pleased that these new facilities will be valuable community assets well into the future.”
