National Capital Authority welcomes new appointments
12 December 2014
The Board of the National Capital Authority has today welcomed two new appointments at the Federal Executive Council meeting.
Mr Terry Weber, formerly a part time non-executive member of the Board, was appointed as the new part-time Chairperson and Mr Glenn Keys as a part-time non-executive member.
Mr Weber was first appointed to the board in June 2014 and is a Senior Consulting Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers, specialising in property, infrastructure and facilities management.
Mr Weber will bring invaluable property and land management experience to the Board, as well as experience in working with government.
He also holds a number of other Board positions as a Director of Australia 21, a Board Member of Canberra Raiders and a Board Member of the Ricky Stuart Foundation.
Mr Weber replaces outgoing Chair, Ms Shelley Penn, whose term expires on 31 December 2014, having served in the role since 2011.
I would like to thank Ms Penn for her leadership of the Authority and contribution.
Mr Keys is the CEO, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Aspen Medical and is an Adjunct Professor of the Faculty of Health at the University of Canberra.
Mr Keys will bring a wealth of knowledge in business, customer service and detailed project management.
He serves on a number of Boards, including the National Disability Insurance Agency, the Remote Area Health Corps, the Nursing & Allied Health Rural Locum Scheme and the ACT Canberra Business Council.
I congratulate Mr Weber and Mr Keys on their appointments and welcome their commitment to the work of the National Capital Authority.
